Days like these!

I t always takes a certain amount of motivation and a constant sense of guilt, two contradictory emotions that your friends perfectly manage to provide you with in right amount and remind you about your long lost blog post. Not that I don’t write or not that they don’t know about the trivial yet fascinating things that I encounter on daily basis in this unknown land with an unknown language. There would always be a difference between how a thing is narrated and how it is written. For the past month or so, I have been freer in the sense that I no longer have lectures or I do not have to roam around the city through different departments or have gatherings during weekends. A remarkable difference although is the interaction I have with my mentor these days. I realized I have not really had had a chance to interact with Professors for the past 1 year or so. The little things that matter

I like trivial things about a city, the so-called unimportant. The things that links and most people leave out. The church, the palace, the museum, The king and legends of martyrdom, All that and more I’d see, but first it’s the little things that draws me to them. The choreography of people, the musician playing flute; bikes, trams and the aroma of savory food; The wrought iron balconies, glittering in afternoon sun, The colors of pavement stones, The lamp post, intertwined trees, the narrow lanes, Red, blues, yellow and orange. The house with bricks and half timbered facade, The green window sills, the stand of magnets and post cards, To see, observe and capture in the little time span, For there’s something magical, when all juxtaposed, The liveliness in the stillness, Behold.
